Announcement of Support

"Show off your skills! Share your enthusiasm for Korean film!" &nbsp;The 7th Korean Film Festival Canada is pleased to announce this year’s “Challenge! DIY Poster Competition.” (<a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/1216296022062506/">https://www.facebook.com/events/1216296022062506/</a>) Anyone aged 13 and over (including professional artists) living in the province of Quebec or the city of Seoul can participate. The winning artwork will become the festival’s official poster and will appear on all of the festival’s platforms. First Prize: $600 + your artwork as this year’s KFFC poster. Other prizes will be announced and selected works will be exhibited at our site (<a href="http://koreanfilm.ca/">koreanfilm.ca</a>) with the discretion of KFFC. JURIED VOTING: The final winner will be chosen by a jury committee composed of professionals and students in the visual and graphic arts field. The announcement will take place on August 15 at 10 AM (EDT) through Korean Film Festival Canada’s online social media platforms. Our graphic designer will then produce the festival poster with the winner’s artwork. The prize award ceremony will take place at the opening of the film festival on October 29, 2020 at 5 PM (EDT). Challenge! DIY Poster Contest Coming Soon

We are delighted to share this news with you, at last!The 7th Edition of the Korean Film Festival Canada (KFFCanada) will take place from October 29 to November 2, 2020. This year’s theme is “Narratives Beyond Borders: New Wave Korean Cinema by Women Directors (1950-2020, Series I).” This rich theme will be further examined next year, in Part Two of this series. The film festival is supported by Ville de Montréal and Fondation communautaire Coréens-Canadiens du Québec. Special thanks to ELAN.To further explore the festival’s theme, a conference will be organized. This project is supported by the Korea Foundation and KFFCanada.All events will be held online this year.
